Cybercriminals can use this information to fraudulently apply for credit cards, file taxes, or get medical services. Identity theft can potentially go undetected for months unknowingly to the victim. Taking preventive steps can be effective measure to defend against cybercrime such as identity theft. This short video recommends things an individual can do to protect their identity against this type of cybercrime.
